Dr. West has more than thirty years of executive management experience in health care. As CEO and Medical Director of American Pathology Resources, Inc., he, for more than twenty years, coordinated the delivery of pathology services to more than fifty hospitals and numerous physician groups with a national network of seventy pathologists and five regional pathology reference laboratories. Dr. West is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School and received eight years of post-graduate residency training in Internal Medicine and Pathology. He received his Pathology training at Johns Hopkins University and The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. West joined HMI as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer in July of 2011.

Mr. West has more than twenty-five years of experience practicing as a corporate-transactional attorney advising a variety of clients in healthcare and other highly regulated industries. Mr. West has been counsel to HMI since July 2011 and joined the company as its President in 2016. Mr. West is a graduate of Duke University and the Vanderbilt University Law School.

Vickie Faler, RHIT, CPC, CDEO has over 40 years’ experience in health care settings. She received her RHIT in the fall of 1985 and served as an inpatient and outpatient facility Medicare coder and transcriptionist for hospitals as well as owning her own transcription company. Upon expanding her career to include the physician office setting she obtained her CPC in February of 1999 working with physicians to provide documentation and coding education as well as providing coding compliance chart audits for one of the leading healthcare companies. She has provided numerous education sessions with physicians and their staff to assist them in more adequately documenting and accurately coding the services which they provide.

Leslie Bybel joined HMI in March 2017 as Director of Accounting & Human Resources. She oversees the company’s accounting, budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and human resources functions, helping ensure HMI’s financial strength and operational success. With more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance across both the public and private sectors, Leslie brings a diverse background in corporate accounting, government finance, and operational management. Before joining HMI, she served as Supervisor of Accounting for the State of New Jersey.

Mary Quimby, CCS, PCS, FCS, has over 38 years of experience in healthcare settings. She offers HMI clients a full range of services associated with improving the reporting, billing, and reimbursement of hospital outpatient services, including APC management, Ambulance/ASC/ER record reviews, and in-servicing staff on coding methodologies. She conducts full updates of the hospital charge description master, assists in implementing chargemaster updates, and is responsible for federal chargemaster coding issues, performing comprehensive department-level reviews to improve coding and resolve areas of non-compliance.

Danielle Gonzalez is a highly experienced administrative professional with over 20 years of expertise in office management, healthcare operations, and customer service. She has a proven track record of leading teams, managing complex projects, and driving operational efficiency while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. Danielle is known for her ability to streamline processes, resolve challenges effectively, and build strong relationships across all levels of an organization. Her extensive knowledge of industry systems and commitment to excellence make her a valuable asset to the HMI team.
