Vickie Faler has over 26 years experience in health care settings. She received her RHIT in the fall of 1985 and spent the first 10 years of her career as an inpatient and outpatient facility Medicare coder and transcriptionist for hospitals as well as owning her own transcription company. The next 11 years were spent working with physicians to provide documentation and coding education as well as provide coding compliance chart audits for one of the leading healthcare companies. Upon expanding her career to include the physician office setting she obtained her CPC in February of 1999. She has provided numerous education sessions with physicians and their staff to assist them in more adequately documenting and accurately coding for the services in which they provide. She was elected to the office of Secretary for the local chapter of the AAPC (PCNT) and is an active member of the AAPC. She joined HMI in the fall of 2007 as the Client Services Manager where she assisted HMI’s consultants with presentation material, contract management as well as providing research assistance for HMI’s clientele and was promoted to Director of Client Services in 2009.
